Lombard, Ill. – Medix Staffing Solutions, Inc., a national staffing organization specialized in recruiting skilled personnel for clients in the Healthcare, Insurance, Scientific and Information Technology industries, was recently awarded a five-year General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule 621 I contract to provide federal agencies with an extensive range of healthcare professionals to support their staffing needs.

According to the GSA, its Schedules program “establishes long-term government-wide contracts that allow customers to acquire a vast array of supplies and services directly from commercial suppliers.” Medix will provide the GSA with top-quality professionals from all across the healthcare industry, including nurses, pharmacists, lab technicians and several other healthcare vocations.

According Mike Geisler, Medix’s North East Regional Director and point-person for managing the GSA contract, this represents huge growth potential for the company. “The award opens up a market that was previously unavailable to Medix. The veteran affairs hospital system, the military, Native American reservations and various federal agencies such as the FDA, NIH and DHHS all utilize significant amounts of temporary agency assistance for their staffing needs,” said Geisler. “This award is an example of the evolution of Medix and our increasing ability to penetrate markets and deliver results.”

June 8, 2009: Medix Staffing Solutions earns 11th place spot on Crain’s “Fast Fifty” list of Chicago’s fastest growing companies

Lombard, Ill. – Medix Staffing Solutions, Inc., a national staffing organization specialized in recruiting skilled personnel for clients in the Healthcare, Insurance, Scientific and Information Technology industries, was recently named to Crain’s Chicago Business’ “Fast 50,” a list of Chicago’s fastest growing companies based on their percent of revenue growth. This is Medix’s second consecutive year on the list, with its five-year growth rate of nearly 1,300 percent driving it to earn an 11th place ranking on this year’s list.

Crain’s “Fast Fifty” is an annually featured list including companies that are at least five years old and have accumulated a minimum of $20 million in revenue for 2008. The company must also be located in the six-county Chicago Metro area. Crain’s team of researchers enlisted assistance from the independent professional services firm Deloitte and Touche LLP in reviewing the financial statements of applicants to determine the companies with the highest percentages of growth in the last four years.

Medix earned its prominent spot on the list based on the growth the company has accrued in recent years. Founded on December 27th, 2001 in an executive office space in Oakbrook, Ill., Medix has since built a team of 131 full-time employees, established ten offices across the nation and generated $35.8 million in revenue for 2008.

June 4, 2009: Medix Staffing Solutions launches new website to better serve both clients and jobseekers alike

Lombard, IL –Medix Staffing Solutions, Inc., a national staffing organization specialized in recruiting skilled personnel for clients in the Healthcare, Insurance, Scientific and Information Technology industries, recently launched a new company website. The site, www.medixteam.com, features a brand new look, optimal navigation and improved content to streamline Medix’s customer service and communication to clients, contract employees and potential internal employees.

After months of development, Medix has created a website that details the diverse services the company offers. “With four separate divisions, Medix serves very different segments of people with very different needs,” said Kyle Funfsinn, Medix’s Operation Analyst. “To cater to our different target markets, the new website features separate tabs to highlight each division so users can easily navigate directly to the information they need.”

The website also includes new features for visitors to utilize, such as a news section highlighting Medix developments, downloadable applications and much more. Additionally, jobseekers can now submit their resumes online using the new contact form on the website. “This enables potential employees to send their information directly to the office nearest them, and Medix’s recruiters can begin the process of matching qualified candidates to suitable positions within our client base,” said Funfsinn.

The renovation of Medix’s website has generated an increase in traffic and an opportunity to reach new users; according to Funfsinn, since the site’s launch, it has amassed 6,543 hits with over 70 percent coming from new visitors. “The visitors to our site are making significant decisions involving their careers and businesses, and they need to know they can trust our services,” said Andrew Limouris, Medix’s CEO and President. “We hope that the new site provides visitors a detailed portrait of our company so they are confident in Medix’s integrity and our ability to serve their needs.”

April 8, 2009: Medix Staffing Solutions Opens New IT Staffing Division

Lombard, IL –Medix Staffing Solutions, Inc., a national staffing organization specialized in recruiting skilled personnel for clients in the healthcare, insurance and scientific industries, recently added a new area of service to its staffing services portfolio with the addition of its Information Technology (IT) division. The division, which will run under the separate name Medix IT Staffing Solutions, will originally launch in the company’s Illinois and Arizona offices, with plans for rapid development to spread to the Medix offices across the country.

"The reason we decided to expand into this division is because we could potentially impact our current clients, and it is a $22 billion dollar industry that represents a great growth opportunity for our company," said Andrew Limouris, Medix’s Chief Executive Officer.

According to Limouris, the IT division will essentially cater to any organization with an IT department and is in need of staffing services. To jump-start the division, Medix will initially target existing healthcare, insurance and scientific clients with IT departments, such as hospitals, insurance companies and pharmaceutical companies. “By initiating the division within our existing client base, we will have a foundation to jumpstart our IT staffing services and eventually spread beyond into all companies in need of IT staffing in the marketplace,” he said.

Medix will focus on three areas of IT - applications development, infrastructure and communications. The applications development sector focuses on all aspects of the software development life cycle. Some of the positions Medix will place in this area include project managers, business analysts and software developers. The infrastructure section will focus on helping customers implement and support complex technologies. Positions within this area include PC techs, desktop support, network administrators and security engineers. Within the communications technology sector, Medix will place such positions as cable tech, cell site installers, drive testers and circuit designers.

November 25, 2008: Medix Staffing Solutions Featured in Crain's Chicago Business' "Recession Successes: How They Did It"

Lombard, IL – Medix Staffing Solutions, Inc., a staffing company specialized in recruiting personnel for clients in the healthcare, insurance and scientific industries, recently made another appearance in the pages of Crain’s Chicago Business. A few short months after Medix was listed in Crain's as the seventh fastest-growing company in the Chicago-metro area, the company was again featured in the article, "Recession Successes: How They Did It."

The article, which ran in November, highlighted the stories of three different companies that embarked on business initiatives during economic recessions. The article follows their plights and highlights how these companies still thrived during these trying times.

The editorial began with Medix's Chief Executive Officer Andrew Limouris's accounts of the difficult initial years that founded his now flourishing company. "My parents originally said, 'You’re crazy-everyone's losing their jobs, the economy's terrible. This is not something that is going to work,'" said Limouris.

Despite his parents' warnings, Limouris went forward with his business plan, and he and his company made it through the economic recession of 2001-2002. After a couple years with only seven employees and 14-by-12 office space, Medix's success began to multiply at a rapid rate. By 2003, the company expanded to earn $2.6 million in revenue. Over the next four years, Medix's revenue soared to $26.9 million in 2007, marking a 930 percent growth.

October 10th 2008: Medix Staffing Solutions Honored with Business Ledger Growth Award

Lombard, IL – Medix Staffing Solutions, Inc. is this year’s recipient of the Business Ledger's "Entrepreneurial Excellence Growth Award." The annual award recognizes private businesses for outstanding growth and development within the last four years; Medix and the company's Chief Executive Officer Andrew Limouris were highlighted this year as leaders in the world of entrepreneurial spirit.

"The past four years have marked an extremely dynamic period in our company," said Limouris. "We have experienced a 930 percent growth, and our plans to expand this development even further." Recipients of the award were selected based on recent revenue figures and a series of mini-essays submitted on behalf of the honoree; these essays described numerous facets of the company, from employee development to company philanthropic initiatives. The Business Ledger, which is hosting the Entrepreneurial Excellence Awards for the eighth consecutive year, is a bi-monthly business newspaper that serves DuPage County, northwest Cook County and the Fox River Valley of suburban Chicago. This year, 23 men and women were profiled for various awards, including service, spirit, lifetime achievement, early stages and growth awards.

June 27th, 2008: Coach and Former Players Reunite at Medix National Sales Meeting to Teach the Value of Team Building

Paul Engen, head football coach for Appleton North High School in Appleton, Wis., carried his lessons off the field and to Chicago when he delivered a keynote address on "Building a Winning Team" at Medix Staffing Solutions' National Sales Meeting on Friday, June 27. Medix Staffing Solutions Inc. is a national staffing organization specialized in recruiting skilled personnel for clients in the healthcare, insurance and scientific industries. Andrew Limouris, a native to Appleton and former player for Engen, started the company in 2001 and is currently the CEO and President.

"Our company has experienced remarkable growth in recent years and was just ranked the 7th fastest-growing company in the Chicago area, according to Crain’s Chicago Business," said Limouris. "The growth made this year’s National Sales Meeting very crucial, as we needed to recognize our accomplishments, yet still motivate our sales people to push for continued success. And I knew just the speaker to deliver that motivation."

Limouris met Engen in 1979 as an eight-year-old eager to watch the practices, hold water bottles and complete any other task Engen and the team needed help with. He played varsity football for Engen at Appleton West High School from 1988 to 1990, during which he was a unanimous choice 1st Team All-Conference linebacker. "Even though I was young when I played for Coach Engen, the lessons he taught me still resonate with me today," said Limouris. "He is truly one of my role models, and my success with Medix would not be possible without the lessons and motivation he instilled in me. I wanted my people to hear his messages and hopefully be impacted the way I was."

The theme of Engen's speech was "Building a Winning Team," which he certainly knows plenty about. Engen hit his 200th win as a head football coach in 2005 and shows no signs of slowing down. "I was apprehensive about the presentation, but as I reflected on the topic, I decided I didn’t need to pretend to be someone I’m not," said Engen. "I was comfortable because I had traveled the road of team building for many years. The values I picked up along the way, like trust, respect and humility, apply to any team, not just a football team."

In attendance at the conference was another familiar face to Engen, Nick Limouris, who is currently the Director of Business Operations at Medix. Nick played for Engen from 1980-1982. "Seeing Andrew and Nick was very enjoyable because they both have played a role in my philosophy, as my students have been some of the best teachers I have had as an educator and coach," said Engen. "Both of these young men worked hard to earn personal success, and I am not surprised by their accomplishments."

June 16th, 2008: Medix Staffing Solutions Announces Opening of New Jersey Office

Medix Staffing Solutions, Inc., a national staffing organization specialized in recruiting skilled personnel for clients in the healthcare, insurance and scientific industries, recently opened a new office in Parsippany, New Jersey. The new office, located at 2001 Route 46, Suite 310, is one of Medix's nine offices located across the nation.

The new office will primarily serve the Northern and Central New Jersey areas and extend to markets in New York City and the New York suburbs, according to Jared Gelfond, senior account executive at Medix's New Jersey office. "As a growing healthcare staffing company, we needed a presence in one of the most exciting healthcare markets in the United States," he said.

Gelfond has played an integral role in the establishment of the new office. He brings to his role two and a half years of experience in the industry, having previously served as a recruiter and account executive in Medix’s Chicago office.

This annually featured list includes companies that are at least five years old and have accumulated a minimum of $20 million in revenue for 2007. The company must also be located in the six-county Chicago Metro area.

Medix earned its prominent spot on the list based on the growth the company has accrued since its inception, particularly in the past four years. Medix was founded in December 2001 by President and Chief Executive Officer Andrew Limouris. With a loan secured from current Chairman Louis Apostolou that was later converted to company stock, Medix received the seed money to launch its concept into a private business. By 2003, the company expanded to earn $2.6 million in revenue. Over the next four years, Medix’s revenue soared to $26.9 million in 2007, marking a 930 percent growth.

May 5th, 2008: Medix Staffing Solutions Expands Market with New Houston Office

Medix Staffing Solutions, Inc., a national staffing organization specialized in recruiting skilled personnel for clients in the healthcare, insurance and scientific industries, recently opened a new office in Houston, Texas. The new office, located at One Riverway, Suite 1700, is one of Medix’s nine offices located across the nation.

Medix has been operating in Texas for two years, as the company established an office in Richardson in 2006. "The addition of the Houston location was part of the company's strategic development plan, as this market offers numerous opportunities for success," said Dan Gaffney, Director of Branch Operations at the Houston office. "With the surplus of healthcare and insurance institutions located here, we knew we needed to bring our service offerings to this area."

Gaffney, who moved from Wisconsin to Houston to work for Medix and oversee the new office, has eleven years of experience in the staffing industry. This is the fourth new office for a staffing company that he has helped establish during his career.

"I accepted the position and agreed to move to Houston because I knew the office would contribute to the aggressive growth Medix has experienced over the last four years," Gaffney said.
